48 Hours New DNA testing has definitively linked the unsolved 1974 death of Utah teenager Laura Ann Aime to serial killer Ted Bundy, Utah law enforcement officials said on April 1, 2026. Bundy was one of the nation's most prolific serial killers, with at least 30 women and girls' deaths linked to him in several states in the 1970s. In one of his final attacks, Bundy targeted three young Florida women. They survived, and share their terrifying ordeal and long road to recovery in "Surviving Ted Bundy." 48 Hours CASE UPDATE: On March 10, 2026, a jury found Dale Warner guilty of second-degree murder and tampering with evidence in the death of his wife Dee Warner. For three years, the Michigan mother and businesswoman was missing and presumed dead. Her family was convinced she was murdered, but they knew that without a body or physical evidence, it would be difficult to prove. 48 Hours On Feb. 19, 2026, a judge declared innocent Maurice Pierce, Forrest Welborn, Robert Springsteen and Michael Scott – the four men who were wrongfully accused of the Texas Yogurt Shops murders – formally exonerating them. Attorneys for the men indicated they are discussing restitution and considering a civil lawsuit. In September 2025, the Austin Police Department identified Robert Eugene Brashers, a serial killer and rapist, as the suspect in the murders. Brashers, who is deceased, was tied to the murders through DNA testing.
